Healing doesn't come from what a practitioner does to you. It comes from what becomes possible when the conditions are right.

Somatic Therapy and Education: RCST · STR · TIC · Private Practice, Colorado Springs

My early influences for healing started with Tai Chi and being a potter. Tai Chi taught me attention with intention could change my state of mind, but also the state of my body. This was revolutionary as I was dealing with chronic pain patterns and a disability. Clay taught me patience, persistence, staying true to my creative vision, the art of craftsmanship, mistakes happen and learn from them, and the everyday grunt work that is the foundation for everything else.

"So much heart and empathy!"

Her Story

Susan Blue

Susan Blue has been working with bodies for a long time. What changed over the years wasn't about technique; it was her understanding of what healing actually requires. She began as a massage therapist and bodyworker, with a knack for injury recovery and management.

She noticed: a person's nervous system state determined their recovery. These were people who developed a relationship with their body and mind and could meet with awareness rather than resistance. These people healed the best.

This understanding became her foundation. She added trainings in Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Trauma Resolution, and Trauma-Informed Care (differentiating Event Trauma from Developmental Trauma)—building a practice that supports the body's intelligence at the center. She continues studying past the age most people retire, because she finds that her fields of interest keep developing.

Recent courses includes: the Effects of Long COVID, the Vagus Nerve's role in Metabolic Function, and craniosacral applications for early developmental stages. She practices privately at The Healing Place in Colorado Springs, where she continues to see clients besides her work with Dee Kinsey to bring this framework to a wider community.

Susan continues to develop step-by-step processes to make our biological functions legible and accessible as body-felt sensations rather than clinical concepts. That work is the foundation of The B.L.U.E. Method™
